Vegan Pizza Rolls



For the dough:

  • 2 Cups Unga Wa Dola All Purpose Flour
  • 2/3 Cup Warm Milk
  • 2 1/2 Tspn yeast
  • 2 Tbsp Unga Wa Dola Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

For the pizza sauce:

  • 1 small grated onion
  • 1 Tbsp Crushed Garlic
  • 2 large blended Tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Coriander (Optional)

For the toppings:

  • Mozzarella/Cheddar Cheese
  • Red Capsicum
  • Sweet Corn
  • Sliced Red Onions
  • Slightly baked Zucchini


For the Dough:

  • In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients, add in oil and mix well. Pour in the warm milk in bits as you knead the dough. The dough should be soft and slightly tacky but shouldn’t stick to surfaces. Oil your hands as you knead.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 30-40mins or till it doubles in size.

For the pizza sauce;

  • In a pan, add a Tbsp of Dola Vegetable Oil, add in your onions and garlic and sauté. Add in tomatoes, tomato paste and mixed herbs and allow to cook till oil separates. Add in chopped coriander and allow to cool.
  • Once the dough is ready, roll it out to more of a rectangular shape. Spread the pizza sauce, then begin to add toppings. If you’re adding any vegetables that need precooking, you can grill them prior. If you choose to add any meaty toppings, cook them prior but ensure they are dry so you don’t end up with a soggy pizza.
  • Roll up the dough tightly and slice them to about 21/2 inches thick. Line a baking tray with baking paper and arrange them for baking.
  • Pre-heat oven and bake at 180° for 12-15Mins. Serve them hot with a cold drink on the side.
