In a bowl, put in milk, sugar and yeast and allow to bloom for 5Mins. Add in salt, egg, vanilla and mix to combine. Add in flour and knead to a sticky dough. Add the butter or margarine and knead for 10-15 mins. The dough will be sticky, so add in 2 Tbsp of flour on the counter and knead to a soft dough.
Place in a bowl and oil the top. Cover for 1 hour or till it doubles in size. Roll the dough to 1/2” thickness and cut out the donuts.
Place them on parchment papers to avoid sticking on the counter and fry in warm oil over low to medium flame.
Fry till golden brown and glaze as desired.
