Dola Fluffy Donuts


  • 1 Cup Warm Milk
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Yeast
  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Egg (Room Temperature)
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Essence
  • 3 Cups Unga Wa Dola Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Butter/Margarine
  • Dola Vegetable Oil


  • In a bowl, put in milk, sugar and yeast and allow to bloom for 5Mins. Add in salt, egg, vanilla and mix to combine. Add in flour and knead to a sticky dough. Add the butter or margarine and knead for 10-15 mins. The dough will be sticky, so add in 2 Tbsp of flour on the counter and knead to a soft dough.
  • Place in a bowl and oil the top. Cover for 1 hour or till it doubles in size. Roll the dough to 1/2” thickness and cut out the donuts.
    Place them on parchment papers to avoid sticking on the counter and fry in warm oil over low to medium flame.
  • Fry till golden brown and glaze as desired.
