Dola Red Velvet Cake

  • Dola All-purpose flour
  • Cooking Oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. Vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp. Vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 tbsp. Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 Icing Sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Vanilla Essence

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups oil, 1 cup buttermilk, 2 large eggs, 1 tbsp. Vanilla essence, and
    1 tbsp. Vinegar
  • In another bowl add 2 1/2 All-purpose flour, 1 1/3 Sugar, 1 tbsp. Salt, 1 tbsp. Baking
    Powder, and 1 tbsp. cocoa butter then mix well
  • Mix the first paste with the flour mixture to form a pasty batter. Divide the batter into two
    to bake separately
  • To create a homemade oven, add ample salt to a big sufuria and place the sufuria on
    heat. The salt will stop direct heat contact between the baking pan and the heated
    sufuria.
  • Place the baking pan inside the big sufuria and cover it with a lid. Place hot charcoal
    on top of the lid to ensure even distribution of heat.
  • Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes then let it cool
  • In a bowl, whisk 1/2 cup of margarine, 1 1/2 cups cream cheese, and 1 1/2 Icing Sugar
    (add 3/4 cup at a time s you whisk). Add 1 tbsp. Vanilla Essence
  • Use this creamy paste to stack up your cake and decorate it.
  • Serve and enjoy!
