Meatball and Chapati - Kitui Flour Mills Limited

Step 1

:In a bowl mix the minced meat, 1 tbsp coriander-cumin powder, salt, pepper and coriander leaves. Afterwards, make small balls with the mixture.

Step 2

In a frying pan, fry the cumin seeds, the onion, the garlic, ginger, coriander-cumin powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and crushed tomatoes and water. Let it cook for 15 mins

Step 3

Afterward, put the meat balls you had made earlier into the ‘soup’ and let it cook for 25 mins.
Add yogurt, cook 5 mins and garnish with coriander leaves (dhania)


For Meatball

500gms Minced Meat
Coriander Leaves
1tbsp Cumin Seeds
Cooking Oil
2 cloves of Garlic
1 tbsp Chilli Powder
1/2 tbsp Garam Masala
1 can crushed Tomatoes
1tbsp Coriander Cumin Powder
1 large Onion
1 tbsp Ginger
½ tbsp Turmeric Powder
½ Yoghurt
1 cup water

For chapati

2 cups Unga wa Dola All-purpose Flour
Cooking Oil for brushing, extra flour for sprinkling before rolling
3/4 cup water or as required
3-5 tbsp oil for cooking
