SOMALI ANJERO RECIPE Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup of All-purpose flour
- ¼ Cup of maize flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- ¾ tbsp. salt
- 1tbsp yeast
- 1 ½ cup of warm water
- 3 tbsp. oil
- 500gms of meat strips
- 1 tbsp. garlic & ginger paste
- 1 large onion
- 2 Bell peppers
- 1 bunch of Coriander
Steps
ANJERO
- Add the all-purpose flour, maize flour, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl and mix.
- Add the warm water and mix until a smooth consistence is achieved.
- Cover the bowl and put it in a warm place for 3 hours.
- Pour the batter on a pan and cook until golden brown.
MEAT STEW
- Put oil in a pan.
- Add the meat strips.
- Add garlic and ginger paste.
- Add ¾ tbsp. of salt and stir.
- Cook the meat until tender.
- Add the chopped onions.
- Add mixed bell peppers and coriander and stir.
- Let it cook for 1 minute.
Serve with Anjero while hot.
