Dola One Bowl Stove-Top Chocolate Cake

  • 2 Cups Unga Wa Dola All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Cup Mala/Buttermilk
  • 1 Cup Hot Strong Coffee/Water

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Add in all the wet ingredients and mix to combine. Lastly, add in the hot coffee/water. Pour the batter in a greased baking tin.
  • In a sufuria that has a tight lid, add in 2-3 Cups of water. You can fold foil lengthwise and make it a circle to suspend the baking tin or use a heatproof plate and place it upside down or on a small rack. Allow water to simmer put in the batter and cover to steam. Steam on low heat for 45-50 Mins or till when it passes the toothpick test.
